A traditional dress worn by both women and men is the kameez (a long tunic) worn over a pair of baggy trousers (salwar). The salwar legs are wide at the top, and narrow at the ankle. When women wear the salwar kameez, they usually wear a long scarf or shawl called a dupatta around the head or neck. The clothing is beautiful and I am enjoying wearing the salwar kameez.
Sari (saree) is a four to nine yard unstitched garment draped in different styles and worn on an upper stitched garment called choli/blouse.

Jocelyn, you look beautiful in Salwar Kameez!!
I saw the pictures and said …..”WOW!!”
Jocelyn, love these photos! Do you get to keep the attire? You and team have certainly acclimated to the culture there. I will be so anxious to reconnect with you upon your return. It is fun following you as you blog. Enjoy this amazing experience!
Beth and Preeti, thank you!
I do get to keep the attire. I bought several outfits and have worn some to my son’s school and also to work the first few weeks back.
